I am all about cheesy holiday fun! Seriously! I’m all in! One of my favorite December experiences is The Christmas Ranch. Located in Morrow, OH, The Christmas Ranch is SO many things I love about Christmastime: lights galore, holiday music, hot cocoa, and more.
I’ve visited The Christmas Ranch several times; once, it snowed the entire time we were there and it was perfect. One of my favorite moments at The Christmas Ranch is grabbing a hot chocolate and sitting by the bonfire. The lights are dancing to the Christmas music, the flames are flickering in the darkness, and I’m reflecting on the blessing that is life.
At The Christmas Ranch you’re never too old to meet Santa. We might not have sat on his lap, but we have talked to him several times and he’s a pretty cool guy! I might have slipped him my wish list, too. Ignore the pic below Santa, I’m not naughty- promise!
If you are hungry, grab a seat at Santa’s Cafe. They serve burgers, nachos, hot dogs, pretzels, sweets, and other light fare. There are also a few shops if you’re looking for Christmas ornaments, toys, and other holiday items.
As I mentioned in the beginning, I love all things cheesy fun. Most of the time, I think fun is what you make it. Put on some plastic 3D glasses to see snowmen in the lights, ride a wagon in the winter, pet a donkey, hang out with Santa, sing along to Christmas tunes while popping in and out of the displays, make the car ride a time to bond, and most of all, laugh!
Not only does The Christmas Ranch celebrate all that is cheerful and bright during the holidays, they also give back to several charities, which to me, is the true spirit of the season. As a consumer of this experience, you know that a portion of the proceeds support St. Judes Hospital and Shriners Hospital. Making memories and making a difference at the same time- perfect!
Hopefully you will leave The Christmas Ranch having made some memories and feeling joyful:
Tip: Christmas Ranch can get busy so parking can be an issue. It might take time to get in. Also, if it’s a crowded night, lines can get long for food, cocoa, and the restrooms (they don’t have many). Just keep this is mind and be prepared.
GO THERE (Christmas Ranch)! TRY THAT (Seeing the lights, singing to the music, grabbing a cocoa by the fire, not taking life too seriously)!
