Top of the Park- the view!

Top of the Park is a sweet little rooftop bar at the Marriott Inn downtown.  Now, I’m not a drinker (allergic), but I love a great mocktail and a great view even more!  And this view is stunning!  I seriously think I could see the entire city from this terrace.

Going back to Top of the Park is something I am definitely eager to do once the weather warms up just a bit more.  Although, they do have propane heaters so it’s pretty cozy! Now, the space might be small, but there are comfortable chairs to sit and talk, OR grab a seat right up against the edge and sip your beverage while you gaze at the sights!  Sunset would be perfect up here.  We happened to be there on the evening of a Reds Game and experienced the homerun fireworks.

While they do not serve dinner, they do have light hors d’oeuvres.  Disclaimer: drinks are not cheap here; however, the view and ambiance are worth the visit (if just once)!  Unless closed for private events (if someone plans a party here, I want an invite), hours are Tuesday-Thursday, 5-10pm and Friday-Saturday, 5-11pm.  I suggest calling first to make sure it’s open.  Take a friend for some relaxing conversation or grab drinks with a date before or after dinner!

Ok – this is from Korie’s Aunt Marleen and cousins Diane and Monica – I am from Seattle – Diane from Iowa City, IA (home of UI) and Monica s from Buffalo – we think you should franchise your blog – and ultimately – you will have a national travel blog for everywhere!!! It is a great idea and a great name!

This is very kind of you! I’m not sure how that would all work, but definitely something to think about! Thanks for being so supportive!
